What we do
Three trades, all exterior, all on houses like the ones in our gallery: shingle roofs on bungalows and colonials, flat roofs on two-flats and brick buildings, siding and gutters to match. Installation, replacement and repair on each, plus a free inspection before any of it.
-
Shingle roof replacement and repair
Tear-off, deck check, new architectural shingles, ridge vents and flashing. Our gallery shows gray, tan and black shingle roofs on brick bungalows, Cape Cods, ranches and two-story colonials.
-
Flat roofs on two-flats and brick buildings
Membrane, parapet and metal edge work on Chicago flat roofs, including corrugated panel decks and flashing against brick walls. See the flat roof photos in the gallery.
-
Siding
Siding installation, replacement and repair, from a detached garage to a full two-story house. Weather damage, wear or age, we replace what is failing and match what is not.
-
Gutters, soffit and fascia
New gutters and downspouts, mesh gutter guards, and soffit and fascia repair where water has gotten behind the old boards.
-
Storm damage
Emergency tarping after wind, hail or a fallen tree, then photo documentation and a written itemized estimate you can hand to your insurer. More on how that works below.
-
Free inspection
We look at the roof, siding and gutters, tell you what we found with photos, and put the repair or replacement options in writing. No charge, no obligation.
From above. New dark architectural shingle roof, vents and ridge in, photographed by drone when the job was done.
Our work, on real Chicago houses
All eight are New Origin jobs from the company's own site gallery and its Yelp photos. Thirty-seven real job photos are on file; none of these are stock.
After a storm, here is what we do and what we do not do
Wind, hail or a tree on the roof. Here is the order of events after you call, and where our job ends and your insurer's begins.
- We tarp it the same day if it is open to the weather. Our gallery has three tarped roofs, a brick bungalow among them. The tarp stops the water while the rest gets sorted out.
- We inspect with your permission. We look from the ground first. We go on the roof only when you say so, and you get the photos of what we find.
- We give you a written, itemized estimate. Line by line: tear-off, decking, underlayment, shingles, flashing, gutters, disposal. It is yours to hand to your insurance company along with the photos.
- You and your insurer decide. Your insurance company makes every coverage and payment decision. We are a roofing contractor, not a public adjuster, so we do not file, negotiate or represent you on a claim.
- We do the work and clean up. Once you approve the scope, we tear off, inspect the deck, install and haul everything away.
Illinois law does not allow a roofing contractor to pay, waive or absorb your insurance deductible, or to act as your adjuster. We do not advertise either, and we do not do either.
